How I started
My Grandma Rooker taught me to crochet when I was a young girl. Grandma Rooker specialized in baby sweater sets, booties and bonnets. Back in the day, L.S. Ayers in Indianapolis sold Grandma's Baby Sets. Anytime someone was expecting a baby, Grandma would make something special for that baby. I still have the sweater set she made for my first child.
I remember starting out, I would make keychains, magnets, and other items to sell at our town festival. I even had my items in a local consignment shop when I was young. And later, like my Grandma Rooker, I tried to carry on the tradition of making something special for the babies.
A few years ago, my husband became unemployed. As a stay-at-home mother of four, I wondered what I could do to contribute to the family. So I started making hats. People enjoyed my hats so much I started setting up at art shows and festivals. My children and I have enjoyed watching this little business grow. I hope you enjoy my creations and will find a passion of your own to see you through
